Philosophy
Our Centre Philosophy – Tatou Kaupapa
At Bambinos, we cherish every child’s journey, providing a nurturing environment that embraces their unique strengths and interests. Whether you’re exploring our community at our Auckland centres in St Lukes or the welcoming atmosphere at Manukau or if you are in Tauranga, come in to our Mount Maunganui centre. Our goal is to empower tamariki through meaningful relationships and holistic development. Join us in celebrating a love for learning!
We acknowledge the Treaty of Waitangi as one of the guiding documents for education in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
At Bambinos we respect each child as a unique individual whose potential is recognised and supported according to his/her strengths and interests and abilities. We believe in the curriculum Te Whariki and the strands and goals which arise from these principles.

PRINCIPLE | MEANING |
---|---|
Empowerment (Whakamana) | To empower children to learn and grow. |
Holistic Development (Kotahitanga) | To grow physically, socially, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually to realize one’s potential. |
Family and Community (Whanaungatanga) | The wider world of family and community is an integral part of our centre. |
Relationships (Ngā Hononga) | Children learn through responsive and reciprocal relationships with people, places, and things. |
Well-being (Mana Atua) | To provide a loving, caring, and nurturing environment. |
Belonging (Mana Whenua) | To provide children and their families with a sense of belonging. |
Contribution (Mana Tangata) | To provide opportunities for learning that are equal and each child’s contributions are valued. |
Communication (Mana Reo) | Languages and symbols of their own and other cultures are promoted and protected. |
Exploration (Mana Aotūroa) | Children learn through active exploration of our environment. |
We believe that children are active learners and therefore we provide them with a stimulating, encouraging, challenging and literacy rich environment.
We aim to provide an environment where our tamariki learn through establishing trusting and positive relationships with other children, family/whanau, and the community.
We embrace a Whanaungatanga and acknowledge Manaakitanga to support children, teachers and all the families to thrive in our culturally diverse community.
We believe in guiding and facilitating children’s learning in an inclusive environment.
