Sickness and Accidents

If your child is sick or unable to attend Bambinos for any reason please notify Bambinos management as soon as possible. Because of the risk of infecting other children and staff, we cannot be responsible for unwell children.

Due to the risk of cross infection between children, please keep your child at home if he/she shows any of the following symptoms:

Chicken Pox

Head lice

Infectious Hepatitis

Severe Rash/Infection

Cold sores

Ringworm

Measles

Coloured Discharge from nose

Conjunctivitis

Mumps

High Temperature

Impetigo

Diarrhoea

Vomitting

Rubella

Please let us know if your child has any of these symptoms. There will be a first aid trained staff member with current certification on the premises at all times.

If your child is not immunized, in the event of a serious outbreak of contagious symptoms you will need to leave your child at home until the outbreak is cleared.

In case of high fever, inflamed throat, eye discharge, unidentified rash, vomiting or diarrhea you must keep him/her at home, unless medical clearance has been given.

If your child becomes ill during the day at one of our Bambinos centres, the parent/guardian will be notified. If medical advice is required, we will seek it immediately. In the event of an accident or emergency, the parent or the person named as the emergency contact will be contacted. If the accident or emergency requires a doctor, your child will be taken to the childcare centre’s doctor of the nearest accident clinic.

Medication

All medication requirements must be written in the day book and signed by the parent / guardian.

Please ensure that all medication is given to a Bambinos staff member for safety.

All medication must be labelled clearly with the child’s name and be current ( prescribed within the past 3 – 6 months ).

Immunisation

By law all preschool centres are required to keep an immunisation register.

Once the child is fully immunised a copy of the immunisation Certificate should be given to the Bambinos Centre Management.

Certificates can be obtained from a doctor or a child’s Plunket Book.

If Your Child is Unwell

In signing the enrolment from I agree to the Centre rules that I am not to bring my child to the Centre when they are suffering from a condition that is capable of being transmitted to other Children
